Code 9 No.1 cylinder position sensor
The other day I was just sitting there in my car as it was idling and all the sudden it threw this code. So I turned off the car and turned it back on and it went off. Then a little while later it came back on. When i turn on the car the CEL code doesnt come on for 30 seconds to a minute at least.
What sensor is this exactly that is throwing the code? And what will it do to the way the ECU runs? The car seems to be running as normal and I havent noticed any lack of VTEC or retarded timing, but its been really cold the last few days and you know how boosted cars are in the cold :D

This is one of three engine control sensors inside the distributor. Check the wiring to the sensor first. Worst case, replacing the distributor housing (and not the whole distributor) fixes it. Or you can buy an entire aftermarket dizzy for pretty cheap. For more info, see http://sites.google.com/site/hondali...ributorbearing
