ok so i got a 90 crx si with built b16a turbo and i converted to obd1 and im stuck in limp mode. replaced numerous things including: iat, map, tps, coolant temp sensor, dizzy. niether of which fixed it. timing is dead on also. now what i need to know is how to pull the codes. ive searched and onnly found stuff for the eg and how u do it via the service connector. how would i go about doing it straight from the jumper harness? like what pins do i jump to pull the codes? much help needed as i am lost with this project now and thanks in advance

 

o forgot to mention. replaced ecu with a few different ones also. still nuthing lol

 

If you have a conversion harness the wires usually come off that yellow and black or orange and blue. you wire them together and your light will flash

 

so wire the yellow and black together or the orange and blue? ok ill have to try that this weekend. thanks man. ive had this jumper harness for about 3 years now and lost the papers to it so been just going from the pins.

 

and if anyone is wanting to know the symptoms, its very hard to get started. alot of cranking and once started runs really well just dont go over 3500rpm. but once warmed up its easier to start. but still dont start like it should. if i use ether after not started for a few days itll fire right up. used a noid light on injector plugs and also not like it should be. takes a few cranks before it starts gettin pulse

 

I cant remember what wires are for the check engine they are different on different brands of harnesses. To me it sounds like you have the map sensor and tps wires backwards.

 

thats a negative. everything is wired correctly. hell i even swapped them to just double check and made it worse lol ive went over and over this car and cant find anything i did wrong. this is the most trouble ive ever had on any of my builds. seems like everything i try dont fix and everything i check is good

 

did you figure out what code you throwing?

 

i went to the garage and went to pull the codes and it crossed my mind i took the cel bulb out about 4 years ago cuz it was annoying the **** out me so i either gotta put it back in or just tie in a led for a cel. prolly go the led route cuz dont feel like pullin the cluster back out lol but no i havnt pulled the codes yet.

 

lol its only like 6 screws to pull the cluster

 

i know lol thats how much im tired of this car haha ive had it apart and back together too many times lol
