Default Having trouble checking Codes in OBD1 CRX

So I was told The plug on the driverside with a yellow rubber cover, was the spot for jumping the ecu to show codes.
I jumped it while the car was in the 2nd ignintion spot, and it didnt show the codes
Then I tried doin it while the car was runnin, and the codes dont show.
Thoughts?

how was the car converted to obd1? usually the jumper harness has a wire that needs to be grounded to display codes.

U sure it's on the driverside, at least for my car and all honda's i've worked on it's on the passengers side under the glove box. a connector with 2 wires, simply put a paperclip into it grounding both wires together.

It was converted using a Rywire OBD0-OBD1 Jumper harness.
Maybe I should give Ryan a call?

From my understanding, that is where it is on naturally OBD1 cars.
The connector I'm talking about (the one in the yellow cover) is pretty much identical to the ones I've seen pictured in the threads I found from my search.

I guess I'll give Ryan a call, check under the glove box, and try using an actual paper clip instead of this piece of wire.

IDK if this helps, but when I start up the engine, it starts and idles fine for about 2 seconds, then the idle jumps about 250RPM's and the CEL comes on.
