Broken steering column replacement?
i bought a shell and the steering column is broken the lock assy is also missing where the key goes in. i do have the original key the car came with, i just dont want to have to replace the steering column lock assy and have two sets of keys. do i have to replace all the locks to have one set of keys?
thanks
thanks
Yeah you will need to replace all of the locks if you want to use 1 key. When I rebuilt my EM1 Honda said that's the only way. I had 2 keys. One to get in the door and one for the ignition.

its unfortunate, but you will need to use 2 separate keys to open the door and start the ignition.
Someone attempted to steal my car and broke the ignition. Now I am having to use 2 keys... its a pita but what can you do.

I hope you guys know that honda has the key pins at the dealership so you can rekey the lock to have one matching key again, I use to do that when I worked there same pins for honda and acura keys

like i said before, you can rekey the car including the ignition. so just rekey the ignition and keep your original keys and not have to reprogram the immobilizer either

they have a clear white box at the parts dept. that has all the different pins #1-6 to match the key, every honda/acura dealer should have this. If they dont then they're dumb lol
