wanting to buy engine mounts need some help
I am looking to buy some hasport engine mounts. i have found a few sets of used ones. some for about $200.
is there anything in particular that i should look out for such as certain wear and tear to stay away from?
also if you all suggest any other brand of mounts just tell me.
car is turbo and making 450hp if that makes any decision on what mounts to get.
thanks all

I would just go with hasport if your putting down that much power. If you buy used mounts youll probably end up brakeing those too.
go with avid, I have had experience with both avid and hasport through a b16ek4 and a boosted d16 eg.
I was pleased with both, the only thing was vibration which I got used to but was rediculous for new passengers to cope with!
I would suggest avid for there cost factor and the fact that there units do obsourb the vibrations better(only when you choose the softer editions though!)

HASport FTMFW. Zero issues, whatsoever. I've seen a handful of Avid mounts with fitment problems, but that was earlier on in their production.
I highly recommend the Hard Race mounts
OEM design (uses rubber) but much stiffer.
Get the enhanced stiffness of aftermarket with the lack of vibration of OEM.
Polyurethane sucks vs. OEM rubber

someone local is selling me a new set of avid racing torque mounts for $50.
i will put these on and see how they work instead of getting new motor mounts. i just really do not want the car to rattle me to death.
what do you all think? $50 worth it?

Never used the avid mounts, melted old HASport mounts in a B16 CRX 3 times (not sure what happened, HASport didn't know either), using Hardrace now with no issues so far (they've only been installed for a month or 2)
if you don't want to be rattled to death, buy the hard rubber Hardrace mounts.
the hardrace really doesn't make a lot of sense in a high hp car with traction. in order to isolate vibration you have to use less material in order to create that vibration reducing flex. flex is also what promotes tearing. poly is a more rigid material than rubber and the way hasports/avid are designed the mount becomes very rigid. this of course is perfect for a car with power, axle hop is greatly reduced and or completely eliminated and the chance of tearing along with it.
