Default Rsx Type S Damage

Im looking at buying a 2002 Acura rsx type. Has 90k miles and its a 6 speed, it was hit in the front and was told it needs a reinforcement bar , bumper, radiator still holds fluid and maybe a fender. Asking price is 6500

Is this a good deal or are they asking to much ?

here are pictures http://www.jdmcity.com/showthread.php?t=9879

i'd offer 5000 just because it is gonna cost your close to $1500, maybe a lil more to get that fixed.... plus it looks like it needs a new hood and possibly some straighening of the metal in the front by the motor

I agree with the lower price, seems to be straight besides that damage said, and can be fixed with just those new metal parts said as well-See if it can be lowered in price, if not, you can get a better condition rsx-s for close to 7000 lower mileage as well

If i were you i would go to body shops and get quotes before even looking at buying the car. Parts from Acura for the RSX ain't cheap and chances are you going to have to go OEM for most of the stuff you need to replace unless your lucky and patient enough to browse tons of threads on CRSX...

Iam no expert but it doesnt take more than a 50 i.q score to say that it would be best to have this baby carfaxed!

shitty aftermarket rims, definatly repainted body panels if not whole car, shitty headlights, sheet metal thats not properly aligned at rear bumber, side skirts, door kinda has me wondering this ride already had a history before this last bang! and I can say all this by just looking at it from one side jesus who knows what else is there! I would say investigate and pay 5g's at best.that fix is definatly going to cost more than 1500 btw trust me!

Its my wifes car so it is dealer maintained too. I would rather her be mad at the guys at the dealership over something than be mad at me over it. Brand new brakes from acura 4 months ago, and brand new Michelins last July too.

Nope stay away! had front damage similar to that an it was aroud 5k. If you look at those pics closely especially the side one where the whole fender panel is sighty pushed back an up. You will be lookng at more than 1500. There are better deas out there.
