hey guys,
so i have a couple problems with the motor ..

im running an LSvtecc , b18b1 block and b16a3 head

here are my questions ,

1. it burns oil in vtec, and have no idea what it is ..

2. when i take the spark plugs out, and peek inside the chamber.. the pistons are all black and oily in pistons #2, 3, 4. #1 is fine .. weird. anyway, the spark plugs had all this white **** on it also, and a bit of oil also.

and last,

3. theres an oil leak around the vtec solenoid .. im thinking it can be my cam seal, but any other ideas?

Its a known fact that vtec burns oil but not that much oil haha. Id take it to get a leak down so you know for sure. Sounds like you could use some rings =[. Around the solenoid? or at the solenoid? The solenoid its self has a gasket/screen but those cams seals are notorious for leaking if they haven't been replaced. Haha in fact im pretty sure mines leaking.

 

also check the valve seals, if its enough to pour black suit all over your rear bumper, its your valve seals/guides....
