HyTech exhaust arrived...installed, dyno tuned...pics and plots GRAPHIC INTENSIVE
Well...John at HyTech sent me my header back and my exhaust...and I must say that the quality of the product is second to none, but the pictures will verify that to you.

Sits a little lower than I would prefer, going to correct that with installing smaller rubber hangers when I have a chance, and yes that is the incorrect Type-R sticker on the back of the car

Dyno Testing
Car facts -
Comptech icebox and intake
Mugen headgasket(no correction to cam gears, roughly at -1.5, -1.5)
Hondata intake manifold gasket, street setup
Run#33 - Testing was done as delivered...just hoping on the dyno and seeing what the car put out.
Run#35 - Just bolted on the HyTech header and HyTech exhaust, test pipe was used.

Full Size: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...c.jpg.orig.jpg
Run#48 - tuned Hondata and cam gears, realized that the injectors were at 101% duty cycle after 1 run with the hondata, added an FPR to increase fuel, currently at ~60psi, hose on under full throttle(thanks SpoonRSX).

Full Size http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...0.jpg.orig.jpg
And the 2 things that made my day...
1. HyTech header with 18" extension(test pipe) vs HyTech with full exhaust, simply removed the b-pipe.

Full Size http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...0.jpg.orig.jpg
2. My old setup vs current...old setup had Toda B's, Toda valve springs, PowerFC, RC 440's, HyTech header, carsound cat, Comptech exhaust, Comptech icebox and intake

Summation...damn this car is fast, it pulls very hard all the way to redline, 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are accompanied with wheel spin with the Azenis...sound wise the exhaust is by far one of the quietest that I have heard...it is on similar to the Mugen, but deeper, hopefully I can get Bob#455 to take some video of the exhaust so that I can post up what it sounds like.
I would like to thank John at HyTech for finally shipping me the exhaust
, and I would like to thank Lawrence and Dick at DynoSpot Racing for allowing me to use their facilities at a very discounted rate for this comparison, and Lawrence...thanks for the awesome tune, damn this is a fun car to drive again
, Rboosted thanks for the help with the installation.

How long is the current wait for the FULL Hytech System?
How long is the current wait for the FULL Hytech System?
It's worth the wait for parts that perform.
Same goes for SMSP.

Nice gains....don't like the way the exhuast sits. But thanks for the pics and results.
Nice !!
You might consider welding it to your car so no one can steal it.....
Are you making more torque now or less? The dyno (before/after) seems to show less torque....? I'm confused

Wow...you gained nearly 20 hp at the wheels.
And you are almost making as much peak power as your Toda setup.
Stock cams + Hytech header + tuning =

I'm making more torque now than I was before with the Toda setup...
Austin
Great numbers Austin...
Austin's car definitely pulls much harder than most other ITRs... Judah and I were in hot pursuit of Austin's on Saturday in Judah's ITR... Plus with the VTEC threshold at 4500, you have much more midrange to play with...

Looking at this from a different point of view.... the numbers may be decieving without more information.
On run #33, what was your setup? Was it tuned at all? I'm assuming that it wasn't tuned.... a gain of 20whp from #33 to #48 can easily be done with *any* mix of parts (depending on the original state of tune of course - ie. an untuned car with no change in parts can also yield similar gains too, once tuned).
Not being judgemental, just looking for more information.

Now which is which on the hytech vs. spec b's plot?
Also, on another plot "HyTech header with 18" extension(test pipe) vs HyTech with full exhaust, simply removed the b-pipe." - which is which? Does this mean open vs. closed header?

Run #48 had the above parts, changed out the stock ecu for the Hondata, tuned the cam gears, and installed the HyTech header and exhaust...nothing else.
If you are looking for something else I would be more than happy to answer your questions to the best of my ability.
Austin
That setup is damn impressive. The exhaust was so quiet!!
I had a great time trying(failing) to keep up.

up Austin!I was given a ride in the car and it ******* Pulls!! So much useable torque in the whole power band.
Whens the body kit, y0!
that is IMPRESSIVE
i like how it was almost even btwn the open and closed header run!!
not to knock him or anything, but did he just copied the mugen twin loop design for the muffler? maybe a dumb question
le
who wants to see someone dyno this with some lUmPy g000tneZZ

Like I said during the SMSP VS HyTech comparision.
The HyTech is really, really a high quality, nice looking piece. Extremely well made. The exhaust looks so clean.
It looked exactly like the one you have.
