Hey guys,

I just bought a 1990 hatch Std and noticed that it smokes a bit. I was thinking about replacing the head-gasket but before i do that i'm going to run a compression test on it to see what numbers it's putting out. The oil in the dip-stick looks dark, but is there anything else i should look for before i go ripping my head apart. I'm also going to perform a tune-up cap/rotor/plugs/wires/oil ect. Thx in advance

Well i would check the compression first it might just be your rings, and not the gasket. yea and unless u really know what youre doing id leave ur head to alone.
