Default blew a rod or threw a rod? 95 gsr

I think I threw a rod this weekend on my 95 gsr with 130kmile , my oil was kinda low and I was driving on the turnpike with the radio on too loud and i heard a knocking noise get louder until my engine blew up, the AAA guy say I probably threw a rod......what would be the best way to get my car back and running? new engine or new shortblock? or just sell the car? not too knowledgeable bout the car please help

I live in tampa and have a ITR motor for 1200 if your interested.
