JDM foglight problem/question.
As you guys know, it is a common problem for the foglight lens to crack. Since then, I have had a body shop vacuum out the remains. What I want to know now is what it will take to have both sides put out that yellow color from the foglights. Since my driver side no longer has the lens, but my passenger side does, wouldn't my passenger side be yellow but my driver side be white? Any info is appreciated. Thanks alot.
I'm thinking its gonna be a big hassle to replace the bulb cover. Woudln't I be better off just installing yellow h3 bulbs? Or is the passenger side gonna be significantly more yellow than the driver? Thanks.
Mine is cracked as well. I plan to open the headlight up and use an epoxy to reattach the lens. Not gonna lie I am afraid of baking the headlight but I see no other option.
yea, seriously, that process seems kinda scary. dont wanna mess anything up u know. im just wondering if i bought yellow bulbs if the passenger drive would be significantly more yellow than the driver. cuz if not, ill probably just go that route.
It would def be a different shade. But who knows maybe it won't be so bad. If I can find some locally I'll buy em tomorrow and try it out and let you know. I don;t think I've ever seen yellow bulbs in any of the auto parts stores though...

why you so scared of baking headlights? ive done it many times and there are many DIY threads, just telling you the better way of fixing the issue, or just try the yellow bulbs out. Hell you might now be able to tell try it out

Well the only baking exp I have is with one of my old S2000 tails and that ended is epic fail lol.
I don't believe they have yellow OEM bulbs. And I stopped by Napa, Autozone, Schucks...they all don't carry yellow h3 bulbs. Might have to just ebay em.
On my old JDM headlight/foglight, I just shoved a chopstick inside to break the rest of the yellow glass and shake it out... and then I just bought yellow bulbs on the internet to 'cover up' for it... haha.
I was running higher watt bulbs, which caused the yellow part to crack. Too much heat.
I have since ended up buying a newer (used) set of headlights, and the yellow fogs part have not cracked for the past few years since I've put in the recommended wattage bulbs.
