Alarm Won't Turn Off 2006 Accord Coupe
Dear HT:
I recently had to have my car towed to my house because the car keys were stolen from me. When having it towed back the AAA guy basically had to break into the car so that he could release the e-brake.
My current problem is, every time I try to reconnect my battery cable the car alarm won't stop going off. I've also tried to start the car while the alarm is still blaring. The alarm just doesn't stop! I've had a new key fob made from Honda, is it necessary to get the car alarm reprogrammed now?

Is the alarm an actual Honda alarm or aftermarket? Also, what trim level (e.g., LX, EX, etc.), as there were differences in Honda alarms for the trim level?
Regardless, look under the dash area, even to the kick panel area, for a reset switch (e.g, push-button, etc.). If there is one, press button, while button is still depressed, insert ignition key and start car.
If there isn't a reset switch, post back info., and I'll see if I or maybe someone else has more info.

if its factory alarm i have no idea other than whats been mention already.. if its a aftermarket on the other hand, then who ever installed it for you should of told you where he hid a kill switch for it.. and you would have to hold the lil button down for ten seconds and it should reset.. but im pretty sure you would know that if you had a aftermarket install.. unless it came wit it.. just throwing it out just in case.. but a 2006 accord im guessin you have the factory one.. unless the car came with it like i said.. idk just thorwin my 2 cent out there to ya.. hope it helps..

Hello I see this is a old thread but i will post anyways. Your answer is the closest I have got yet. I have a 06 accord that one out of every 3 to 4 times when i start the car the alarm goes off. It is factory alarm and the EX model. But I dont see any kind of reset switch under the dash. I would like to find it to just unplug it. Is it a little box with a harness going to it and a little push button? Thanks for any info.
