Default Least hassle swap...

Alright guys Im in a pickle... My original plans for my car were to mini me swap a y8 head onto my y7 engine w/ p29 pistons while switching it to obd1 from obd0. But since my friend is giving me his obd1 Ls engine out of his 95 integra, it has put me in a spiralling debate. The b18 is the obvious choice cause of the power and torque over the d16, but im wondering which one has less hassle while installing into my 91 si.

Ive read write ups and didnt find the information needed. so anyone who has EXPERIENCE with both swaps into a Ef chassis, help a brotha out! I already know the obvious stuff to do during the swaps of both of these but my main problems have to do with the electrical stuff, converting obd0-obd1, distributors, ecus, etc....

My advice.

Take the LS motor, sell it. Buy a z6, buy a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness, wire vtec, 4 wire o2 and be done with it. Simple.

Honda swap has a bunch of color pinouts and write up to convert and wire it obd1.

The LS is not a hassle, you just need alot more than just a motor to make it work.

if you're willing to spend a little more money and do a little more work then definitely go with the ls hands down. i've had a mini-me swap before with an si tranny so i can tell you from personal experience that if i could go back i would have never wasted my time or money doing the mini-me conversion.

Im aware that the Ls needs alot more to swap over than the mini me. I guess you can say im pretty educated about swaps but i am not very inclined when it comes to the computers and stuff like that.

alright, well I already have the parts to swap over for both engines. Its just the time that it will take is what im worried about. Ive done swaps before but not a mini me or a whole new heartplant from a different chassis. so im just trying to cover as much ground as possible before i get down to the dirty work.
