i have a 1990 crx SI that i pulled the motor out and im almost done rebuilding the block but i installed some d16a1 pistons to increase my compression i set the head down on the block without head bolts or belt after installing the pistons and turn the crank shaft and it hit the valves. when i put the crank and cam both on TDC and have a head gasket will everything will move without having to worry about bending a valve or do the pockets on the pistons need to be machined? i know what a interference engine and what not are where if its not timed right the valves hit the pistons and alot of damage can be done im just being pro cautious since the pistons domes are higher then the stock CRX pistons this is my first motor ive ever rebuilt and i dont want to have to get a valve job lol just need a little bit of input and other tips on what i should do with this motor thanks
