i have an sohc si tranny,its stuck in 3 gear and i could move the shift stick but it still wouldd be in 3rd gear wont do nothing else,lets say i turn on the car on then i let go of the clutch the car will turn off almost like it was forced to turn off , my uncle said it was the pressure plate cause when i took it out it was soft as in i could flex the lil sticks way easyer then you suppost to0,so0 what ya think

 

u have a ef9? so how did u bolt ur si sohc d series tranny to ur b series? or are u lying and u really have a ed7? but to anwser ur question, can u shift the gears when the car is off? or is it permanently stuck, if so it isnt ur pressure plate its the pin that connects the ur linkage that is where u could be having your problems, also do u have tranny fluid in there?

 

if you can move the shifter to any position and the transmission remains in 3rd gear, most likely you have a broken 3-4 shift fork in the transmission

 

mayfly u a lil b!@#$, and thanks jlicrx ,i was thinking the tranny messed up,i had a 3puck non spring clutch on there i know this clutch could brake the tranny easy when u power shifting ,but i could'nt fine any another clutch at all for this tranny

 

im the b!@#$? ur the one power shifting and messing up ur transmission nd clutch, sowhile ur broke down nd not able to shift ill drive bye waving in my car that works lawl!
