hey guys,
i have a 97 prelude and im getting it repainted this summer. im looking for a fiberglass hood that looks the same as the stock hood but i cant find any on the internet. idk if im just not looking hard enough or im looking it up with the wrong wording. i dont want a carbon fiber hood. three reasons why i want a fiberglass hood 1. its lighter in weight, 2. bc i need a new hood anyway, mine is dented from the guy who own the car before me, 3. can paint a fiberglass hood.

carbon fiber can be painted....

 

but why would you buy a carbon fiber hood to paint it? and isnt a fiberglass hood cheaper than a carbon fiber hood?

 

Iv been looking for the same thing for my 4th Gen.. same reasons.

here are some, but not stock look. You might have to settle with something more aggressive, maybe get a lip kit with it.

yeah all those hoods are the only ones i can find that are fiber glass. i know that there has to be somewhere that takes the molding of the hood to make a fiber glass hood. they do it for all the people who restore old cars but want them to be lighter

 

does anybody know of anything of a stock looking fiberglass hoods for 5 gen prelude?

 

I was looking for the same thing for my 4th gen, no luck, they only choice would be getting a faded, scratched or damaged CF hood and paint it, they run cheap if they look ugly.
