i am working on an h23 build i have the bottom end built forged rods and pistons sleeved block and a 9:1 comprestion curently i have heard the h22 head breaths better but i am going to go forced induction so i need some help do i get the h22 head or not is it worth it and i have heard that it would be better once i got the turbo to not use the vtech? so i guess where i am at i am wondering what the next step should be and i am wanting to hit about 450 whp so any help to the next step would be much appresiated

 

im not super smart with H series motors but i do know from a lot of personal experience that D series and B series Vtec motors (more precisely the heads) flow way better and make way more power than non vtec B's and D's. All of the power that your car makes is in the head/cams and im betting that the H22 head will make a lot more power than the stock h23 head hopefully someone that knows more bout h22's will chime in good luck with your goals shouldn't be hard to reach that 450 mark as long as your trans and turbo setup will support it

 

yes the h22 head flows a lot better than the h23 but its a lot more than the head that you have to change.

 

i have a fully build h23 and came across and h22 head but i rather keep what i already have if i was gonna put the h22 head i'll have get a different ecu get it retune run some extra wires, exhaust manifold , intercool piping etc , my h23 head it fully built cams springs retainers port and polish, i made 331whp @14psi my turbo is a t3 t4 ith a 63A/R so if you had a bigger turbo you could make more power at 14psi.

 

I was wondering, is it possible for me to have a Euro Accord R intake manifold on my h23?

 

i think that manifold fits the h22 head so i don't think it would workon the h23 head cuz h22 and h23 manifolds are differrent.

 

i am looking for a pritty agressive turbo and am wanting no to much turbo lag and was looking at the garrett gt37 and found this Precision PT67 they say they are compared to the garrett turbo so wondering if this precision is any good or maybe some other options around this area of turbos

 

i'v heard that precision are good turbos
