so i picked up this truck from my parents(the actually just GAVE it to me) and its a 95 passport v6. the lifters needed replacing and when i went to take the pass side head off, i broke one of the bolts off inside of the block. does any one know/reccommend what kind of bolt extractor i could use to get that far down into the block to remove the broken part of the bolt?
Your almost stuck pulling the head off the block. Using a bolt extractor like an easy out wont work cause drilling into the bolt will get debris into the motor and destroy it.
theres a place called the hole shop in LA that has a machine that if you tow it over there they basically zap it and it falls apart. you could look for a machine shop or something near you with something similar, but you might have the same problem with stuff falling in your engine, otherwise i'd say try an ez out

thehead(s) are off, its just that where the bolt is. it sits about 4 inches down in a hole where the threads are
u mite get lucky and the headbolt may be loose..u just have to figure out a way to back it out..i broke off a headbolt in my block wen i was torquing these weird new factory headbolts in and one snapped..i took the head off and it actually backed off by hand..i put a screwdriver down the hole and backed it out by hand
