Default Hondata vs. chipped P28

I was curious. Would it be smarter to get the Hondata ECU rather than get the P28 chipped. I would get the same things and a VTEC controller w/shift light. What are your opinions guys. I want to be sure before I start coming out of the pockets.

if i were you i would go with the p-28 and the vtec controller that way you can adjust things as you want, but it takes a little time to learn how to adjust your vafc

Whcih stage Hondata. A p28 rechipped and a V-afc is a slightly scaled down version of a Hondata stage 2. What are you looking to do? Just change your vtec x-over and adjust fuel or do you want more control.

Stage 3(Of Course).Speed limiter removed, adjustable rev limiter, VTEC controller, shift light, launch control, and full throttle shift. $475. What do you think?

Hondata 100%. You can't compare a chipped p28 and vtec controler to a Hondata. I had a vafc before I put in the Hondata and its a night and day difference. Do it right the first time and get the Hondata.

Thanx alot. That's info that I like to hear. I really appreciate it. Hold it down up there in Memphis. I'll get it right the first time.

Good luck finding someone in GA qualified to tune it. You might want to think about going out of state to get it tuned optimally. Vaportrail in FL from Secret Service seems to know his stuff when it comes to the Hondata.

I might have a friend who can do it at his job at Honda & Acura Specialists/X-Speed Racing. But thanx for your help.

Regardless of what you get, you will need to take it and put it on a dyno to "properly" tune it.
