Default differential rebuild - should i?

i've finished the transmission i've been working on, but now i'm thinking i should go back and rebuild the differential since it was one of the diff bearings that came apart. has anyone needed to rebuild their diff before? do i even need to?

i've never heard of anyone rebuilding a diff. if you replace the two differential bearings, i would think that would be ok.

but if you really want that sense of security, give it a shot.

what you said is good enough for me, though i'd probably grab onto any excuse right now to not open it again

haha i know the feeling. i've had my tranny case crack, then when i swapped cases it didn't shift gears, then once i got that fixed, my diff bearing went (so i installed the quaife). needless to say i've had enough of trannies for a while.
