I have a Rear License Plate Garnish made by what seems to be Raybrig. Does anyone know anything about these??

I know Raybrig makes the Fogs, Light bulbs, and other lighting products.

This is for a 96-00 Civic and fits on Hatches and Trunk Lids. It is red in color, and has a sort of reflector look to it, looks similair to the rear tail lights and looks somewhat like my JDM S13 grill's pattern. Also it looks to be somewhat JDM because there are wider holes for the license plate screws, and looks like someone had cut squares to make it fit a United States plate. There is a Raybrig logo right above the key hole too. Mounts with all the same factory Hardware too. I haven't found any part number or other markings on this.

I have never seen another one of these or heard about it before. Searching all over the internet I cannot seem to find anything about this, another one for sale, a picture installed, by its self, or even a listing for it. I've tried searching all kinds of different names everything. And whether or not this is really made by Raybrig and I can't find another replica one like this or anything else for sale at all, just stock replacement garnishs/ plate trims/ holders, etc.


Please someone help me figure out the part, if it is real and if so how rare is this, or am I just missing something, Either way I like it and it is different

I remember back in the 90's Zender or Hondasport use to make one like it for the Ej

 

Negative on any part numbers or even manufacturing markings, I've looked it over so many times and just checked it again.

Seen them before but I don't have any information on them.

I do have a photo of one for a 5G Civic though.

 

Oh, and I would imagine it's for the Japanese market since the license plate mounting holes have been cut out. The Japanese plate holes aren't the same as the US ones IIRC. I had to put a Japanese trunk on a friend's Civic once and that turned out to be a problem.

Crazy rare part, never seen one....but its ugly as hell. Probably rare for a reason.

 

I think it might look okay on a bright red car, but no other color.

will not fit 99-00 hatch.. they are different ..

 

Should be '98-'00 hatches that have the handle in the license plate area.

It really is, And the quality really seems pretty solid, It is just hard to believe I can not find any other info or seen another one around at all. Still looking for answers
