Hi,

my Odyssey 2006 has started to make a scraping noise when changing gears. I can even feel a smooth vibration in my right foot through the acceleration pedal. This happens only once after starting the vehicle, but not immediately after starting it but first when I accelerate and the gear changes from 1st to 2nd. It is only a half a second noise and vibration, but it doesn't feel OK. It sounds and feels like as when two metal plates scrap each other.

The transmission fluid is OK (within limits). Someone has suggested it could be a ABS self check but I doubt it because I've never heard it when I first bought the Odyssey.

Has anyone any idea what this could be?

It's the ABS self check. Every modern Honda with ABS

 

Aren't 06s still under warranty? Sounds like ABS though.
