I'm going to assume these wheels are 17's or even 18's...yes, you will feel them slowing you down and your suspension has to work a lot harder to move them up and down so the car will handle worse too. The brakes will have a tougher time stopping them as well.

Just wanted to add that going from a smaller wheel to a larger wheel will almost always result in a decrease in acceleration due to the increased rotational mass. I felt a tad bit slower after switching from the iCy hOt stock blades to my 17" Volks, even though they're only supposed to weigh 14.75 lbs (listed on wheelweights site)

The ls mesh rims are not 15's they are 14's

I would like to know where you got these weights if they listed the ls mesh (aka snowflake rims as 15's)

 

My LS wheels are 15's... dont know what you call the mesh style though.

According to a classified listing.....the Velox's weigh 13.6 lbs. each.

 

bigger rims/tires makes your gearing longer.

 

a turbo adds weight

 

the weight of the turbo doesnt hinder the car's performance less than it can provide, thus improving performance overall.

bigger wheels = higher max speed, but shittier acceleration and deceleration

everythings has its trade-off when u mod a car

 

I like the stock GS-R wheels. 98-01. If you get them really clean they have a nice bling factor that looks original and clean. AND if you let them get reallllly dirty...
