Hey guys im trying to wire in a resistor box for my dsm 450's on my 98 d16y8 but im running into a problem that left my build stuck for about a week. I found a couple post on here on the odb2 resistor box wiring but on their dead end plug, he says that you solder the four wires with continuity to the box and the other three to the single wire on the box, but on my dead end plug im missing some wires. I found that the second row of four wires are the injector wires but as for the three on top i only have two.????? Should i just solder the two wires or is there something different about my car....maybe mines is vtec and his is not? Can someone who has wired a resistor box with the same dead end plug as mine help me out......

 

Its not to bad some people just make it more confusing for u. It depends on what u do if u just cut and splice the four injector wires into the resistor box then the four injector wires u cut that are sticking out of the dead end plug u just strip those,wrap them together,and splice those four to the red wire from the resistor box. But if you do a clean install and have both plugs from the resistor box female and male then u just depin the four injector wires from the dead end plug stick those four in the female plug of the resistor box and simply plug in to the male plug of the resistor box. Then the red plug u would just cut just the tip of it and splice in a pin to be accepted in the dead end plug the u would just stick it in any slot of the dead end plug and ur all done. And I was the one that said some people make it confusing LOL sorry if I confused u but if u have any questions let me know

 

Are u sure that's not the way u wire up odb1???? Not to say I don't believe u, its just that I've read a lot of different threads and they all talk about wiring the three wires on top to the single wire on the resistor box and wire the injector wires to the common wires on the resistor box...what your saying makes a lot more sense because there is a sensor on top of the fuel rail which is also combined in the plug with the injector wires so if I change resistance ti the injectors it would also change it for the sensor also right???
