Default DSM Resistor Box Removal

Can anyone guide me in the right direction on how to correctly fix my engine wiring harness after removing a DSM resistor box? Not sure if I should just wire all of the yellow/black stripe wires back together or what. Could not find anything at all on the itnernet for this.

Thanks in advance!

It would be helpful if you could give us more information... like the chassis, and how exactly your resistor box is wired up. A photo of the box and wiring would also be a plus.

In any event, the simple answer is one of two: If you don't mind ruining the box, simply cut the 5 wires off where they exit the box and connect them all together. If you want to save the box (to use later or sell), you must find a plug similar to that which was on the box with wires still in it... and connect them all together.

If there is no plug between the engine harness and the resistor box, simply cut all five wires four or five inches from the box and connect the engine harness side wires together.

Its a 94 Integra, it was hard wired in (not the plug and play resistor box). I already cut the resisitor box out, and threw it away, so as of right now i have 7 yellow/black stripe wires exposed. So all I have to do is just solder the 7 wires all together? Thank-you

7 wires does not seem right.
there should have been one yellow black going in and the rest going out to the injectors a total of 5 wires.

To avoid confusion look for the wire that goes to the junction connector.. ( fat grey plug full of yellow black wires) then from there you should find the wires that go to the injectors.

If you have seven yellow/black wires, I suspect you don't have the junction connector on the drivers' side engine harness junction. If this is the case, then you are correct in stating that all that is needed is to connect all seven wires together. It would be in your best interest to check the continuity of all seven yellow/black wires. Four should go to the four individual injectors, one to the IACV, one to the purge/cut solenoid and the last one should go to the big plug on the driver's side of the engine harness... where once plugged up to the chassis harness, gives you the 12V+ that you need for the other six wires.

Yeah you are right im sorry, I stupidly took apart they grey plug full of the wires, in this picture, the wires with the silver connectors on the end were the ones inside that grey box. There are 4 wires on the top right of the pictures even though it looks like 3. I hope the picture helps.

So you took apart the junction connector? if you did i would hit the junk yard and replace it or solder the wires together and verify you have continuity from the main relay to the vss iacv and all the injectors

Yeah I was thinking I was just going to solder them all back together and then I second guessed myself and figured I should ask first. Im aweful at wiring stuff if you couldn't tell

Ok, if you have a total of 8 yellow/black wires, the last one goes to the 4-wire O2 plug.

You might consider connecting 4 female pins to the injector wires in your pic and then re-insert all 8 wires back into the junction plug and put the junction cap back on it. Works fine and looks factory again.

This isn't that difficult kids. You could just wire them all together at the end or find the plug to make it look nice (all the plug does it that).

The difference is I'm trying to help people do things the right way. Not some half fast typical F.I. post.

How is what I just posted not 'The right way'? All those wires meet at a dead end plug in front of the clutch MC. I will take a picture of how I did it on my civic when I rewired it recently for saturated injectors...
