Default obd II distributor for obd I set up?

Ok I just got my b20 vtec inside my engine bay, just waiting to start but I only have a distributor for a 98 gsr. My car is a 93 civic and the wiring is still for obd I. My question is, can I run that distributor for my engine? How could I make it work if possible? They both have a 2 pin and 8 pin connector. The 2 pin connector have the same wire color match, but the 8 pin connector have different wire colors for the wire harness and the distributor harness. Any help. Thanks

change the plugs from the OBD-II to the OBD-I distributor. i do it all the time. The only difference is that OBD-I has 2 plugs and OBD-II has 1. The wires are the same colors and its very simple
