I have a question guys. I currently have a 3" exhaust from my turbo setup and I need to know whether I will gain or lose anything by modifying that one to fit my rmf replica header or try and sell it and buy a full 2.5". I think it would be much cheaper to modify my 3", but will I lose anything in overall performance.

 

As long as each connection down the exhaust is the same size or bigger than the previous, you won't lose performance. Having an exhaust pipe feed into a larger pipe will change the acoustics, though.

 

I would only need the 2.5" to 3" adapter. Then its 3" all the way back.

 

i think if your only using the adapter and past that it will be 3 inch you should be fine its just if you had 3 inch and then reduced it you would lose exhaust flow but i still dont think you would lose much horsepower if any at all
