Default Break problems galore

Ok so:

90 CRX DX with a b16 (meaning big teg brakes and hubs in front)
Disk front, drum rear brakes

First off, i wasnt braking right and i felt like the car was nose diving, so i adjusted the drums and immediately was better. A month or so goes by and the car starts to shake left/right when braking. Im thinking, the front brakes were doing 100% of the braking before i adjusted the drums so mayube the rotors warped. Pads looked good so i swapped out rotors and it braked good again.

Then, time goes by and it again feels like the drums are doing nothing. Put new drum pads on it and it feels better but now the front is shaking side to side when braking AGAIN.

Plus the pedal is getting soft. So what am i doing wrong? Should I just get new rotors/pads since I have new drums and ill be fine? I dont know why I am having so many problems braking. I downshift 90% of the time, dont drive like a moron.

WTF HT?

Have you changed the fluid?? also did you swap the correct proportioning valve?? if you have a disc/disc valve it won't work correctly with disc/drums...also how are your wheel bearings???
btw what master cylinder are you use'in???

Did not change fluid but levels are fine.

Did not have to swap a proportioning valve. Car was always disc/drums but the disc brakes in the front are now bigger. thats all

wheel bearings have been fine the last time i checked them. definitely a braking shaking.

Stock master cylinder. Thats getting changed next.

You should change your master and flush/bleed your brakes.

should have bought new pads with the new rotor.....sure the pads look fine to the naked eye, but I'm sure if the rotors were warped before, the pads went along with the grooves the rotors made.

yup!

Did you bleed the brakes properly after you put on the new brakes up front?

I'd be more concerned about a bad front bushing, ball joint, spring perch, strut could be blown. Also check your steering rack to make sure it's torqued down correctly, and tie rods are good. It's very, very hard to diagnose a problem like that just by description.

ok so update:

put a new master cylinder in today and bled all 4 brakes throughly. Front two were bled until new fluid was coming up. Brakes feel better but there is still a bad side to side vibration when braking at a speed around 30 to 50 mph.

What next?
Calipers?

I replaced the rotors recently, could they be warped again already?

Did you clean the rotors and pads off with brake cleaner before using them?
They come shipped with a coating that needs to be removed - if not you can get hot spts and uneven braking.

How did you drive for the first couple hundred miles on your brand new rotors?
Without bedding the brakes in properly you can warp the rotor with hot spots.

Hard to tell if it's even brake related - can't tell how much vibration you are talking about.

no i did not. big mistake.

I do not know how to bed in brakes when first installed. apparently I am really doing stuff the wrong way.

How do you do that?
