Default cluster swapping trouble shoointg

i have a 91 civic std that is a 4 speed and i just bought a new cluster that came out of a 88 crx si i have no tach but swapping because of tach but wonder what i would have 2 do 2 make all this work besides rewiring because i do not have the light clip that comes on the back because it did not come with one but do have the old one from my gauge cluster so is here anyway to hook that up and hook this cluster up like plug a play or do i have 2 rewire everything?

You should hve done your research before buying that cluster. Cluster plug and play:
88<->89 and 90<->91

Otherwise you'll need to pinout the harness yourself; there are pinouts available by searching this site.

I seriously think it's going to be worth your while to just sell the 88-89 cluster and get a 90 or 91 Si cluster.

The time it will take you to do this work, you would have made enough money at work to buy the right one.

Someone who knows what they're doing and can figure out wiring diagrams can swap this out no problem. It sounds to me that you are in for more than your money.
