Try this... pull out the S80 tranny, install the overhauled LSD, change the gearset from an S80 to a Y21, re-install the tranny and then change the oil. 1hour 22 minutes!

break every 5 minutes this doesn't sound too hard. 30min to drop tranny, 5 to break open, 2-3 to switch main/counter/lsd/fd, 5 to reassemble, 30 to bolt tranny back up, fill with tranny oil and the remaining few to change the motor oil. You'd have to hustle and not drink enough beer though, so it wouldn't be worth it.
I actually dropped the tranny in 20 minutes. The first 10 minutes was wasted on waiting for the gear oil to drain and the last 15 minutes was wasted on adding gear oil and chaning the engine oil. Once the tranny was out I took the time to inspect the gearset for later use. I'm pretty sure I can do it in an hour if I was pressed for time.
DEE im talking total time, removing axles, inter. shaft, shift linkage, fluids, etc..., if you did all that in 1 hour and 22 min. let alone change gear sets then i will worship you!! ohh yeah dave, i did it all with no shoes on so i got mad 7-11 feet still, tranny fluid and grease stains!!

That time was from drive into the stall to drive out of the stall. Having a lift helps a LOT!! I have also have about 50 tranny/clutch/LSD installs under my belt so as long as I don't get in stubborn nuts/bolts things use go really quick. I don't remove the shafts! I loosen the lower balljoint and tie the shafts so that they are out of the way. After seeing me do this most of my Honda friends do the same now.
Dee, your my hero!!
yeah i did this with one jack, and two stands on conc. garage floor with tranny fluid every where!! eric

that is the preferred we-todd way as well. except we do it (the lower ball joint sickos) while drinking a
took two hours 30 minutes to do it with hi riser jack stands, (2) heavy duty shop floor jacks and lots of beer! I didn't have a gear oil pump so the last 30 minutes were spent squeezing 2.2liters of 85w-90 into the tranny thru the breather hole! That was NO FUN and I have vowed to kill any friend who begs me to change his clutch with jack stand stands on a decline!
