Hey guys I know it's probably in this site somewere but how do I tell what kind of trans I have without doing any kind of tooth counting. like how do I tell what kind of b series trans and d series trans. can you tell by the label thats on the trans?

 

no you cant tell by the stickers on the trans , they can be misleading

gotta do the math!

look in the stickys there is a post on how to find out without counting teeth, by putting it in 3rd or 4th gear and spinning the input shaft and counting the revolutions of the diff

Count the teeth. Too many trannys have been messed with for the diff rotation to be comfortable for me to use.
