Any advice on buying ecu with second hand s200 set up
On a local forum I came across a db2 obd1 p61 chipped and socketed with the Hondata s200, it's said to be in perfect working order and has a knock board.
I have an ef8 crx I'll be working on, eventually converting to obd1 is in the plans and either a built b or an h2b setup. Staying all motor more than likely. I've also come across a db2 shell so there could even be another project down the road if the price is right.
Are there any things I should look out for and questions I should ask the seller? The local tuner is a Hondata dealer I'm assuming he'd tune it but when searching these forums earlier I read some tuners don't. The price is good, down to 160 from 200 already, I'd like to jump on it if it's worthwhile.
I'm just hoping to get a few opinions on this setup, at that price I'm having a hard time believing I'd find better.

160 for the ECU and S200? Do it. The ECU is worth that and if it comes to it you can trade in the s200 for a credit on the s300, which is already currently on sale.
Some tuners don't tune s200 because you need a tuner s200 box to do so and since it's an obsolete system a lot of them don't have one. So if they don't tune it, you may consider trading it in and going S300 or selling the S200 and going with something else.

You use the software to create a tune, then upload it to your ostrich or burn it to a chip.
