i need to know if when doing a d15z1/d16z6 minime, do i need to set head at tdc for a z6 or a z1. im using an adjustable cam gear to make up for the half toothe 4.75 degree difference from the block height difference, just dont know which cam timing marks to use on this setup. also what ngk sparkplugs should i use, setup has about 7.6 to 1 comp. and will be under 10-15psi of boost on a t3/t4

 

The half tooth timing difference is only with a mix of an OBD1 and 2 head and block. Say a Y8 head on a D15B7, you'd get the half tooth difference...

 

ok i got it last night running. my first problem was i found the q31 transistor in my p28 ecu burned up, i had the iacv and purge valve connected correctly , i didnt remove the im from the car just moved it back a few inches and i checked the wire colors. for what ever reason i unsoldered the burnt one and then soldered in a new one. after that it started running alot better but not perfect. then i adusted the cam gear till it ran good which was at 5 degrees advanced and then set the dizzy to 16 degrees and now it runns good and idles. also now my turbo spools up alot faster and sooner and i got alot more power in all gears especially on low end which i was lacking before.
