hey just bought a 91 civic si the guy put a 88 crx si front end on it, honestly im not in love with it i was wondering if it would be hard to put it back to OEM i dont kno if you have to change anything out to put a crx front nose on it but i want to change everything back lmk if the lights are different also, if you got a stock one for sale or trade let me know brand new hood and bumper, fenders are basically junk tho thanks

from what i can remember everyone else saying,

88-89 can switch back and forth,
90-91 can switch back and forth,

basically saying the 91 bumper wont fit right. this also goes with the fenders and lights. now if he did the fenders right, id say just keep it as is, or swap back to a hatch front end.

 

So you have a hatch with crx front end do u have crx fenders? If you don't have crx fenders then all u need is bumper and bumper grille and for bumper any year from 88-91 fit only diff is the bumper light 88-89 are small in lenght and 90-91 are longer

 

U gonna need the hatch fenders the bumper and the bumper filler lights and hood can stay. Hatchback fenders and crx fenders are a little different from each other cuz of the different front bumpers I hope I didn't leave anything out

 

Things you will need:

1. '90-'91 civic bumper
2. Civic bumper filler piece
3. Civic fenders

The CRX hood is a very close fit and should work fine.

and new fender molding

headlights and hood are the same

 

how about a pic to see what you need to replace, since you didnt tell us what pieces from the crx are on the hatch.

-passenger side fender is from a 89 Civic si Hatch with matching corner light
-Driver side fender is from a 88 CRX si with matching corner light
-Hood from a 89 Civic Si Hatch
-Bumper from 88 CRX si
-Bumper Reinforcement w/o foam peice from a 91 Civic Si Hatch
and a big gap where Civic Hatch grille is suppposed to be...

the guy that owned this before me was obviosuly a F****** RETARD, anyways i kno it sounds confusing but from what you guys are saying im pretty sure if i can somehow find a complete front end from a 90-91 Civic Hatch ill be all set once i take this junk front end off, if anyone knows of a complete ef front end let me kno thanks

 

If you got the bumper, the metal valence trim (it fits between the headlights and the bumper), and the Driver side fender w/ signal lens from a 88-89 Civic hatch, you'd be all set
