Stock internal b16a turbo ??
Hi , im thinking about boosting my b16a next summer , but i want to keep the motor as is ,the motor is in great condition, how much boost can a b16a can handle on a good tune ?, and what kind of numbers ?? thanks !!

i will, however, spoon feed u this time. a stock b16 with good compression numbers, good leakdown numbers, and a good tune is capable of 300whp fairly reliably. if u buy an ebay kit and then order a basemap and throw it on, it wont last a week...

i have westgate and blowoff turbosmart and a vibrant intercooler (huge),
my turbo is a t3/t4 with the trim of a gt28rs (custom made by blaast performance)
my exhaust manifold is gonna be a single cast iron...
its gonna be tune on a dyno for the best curve of power !
so 300 whp is the max ??
what about the fastener ? stock fastener will tought the run ?

no its not, u left out the later of what i said. in my area, their are quite a few people taht will order and ebay kit, then a chipped ecu from xenocron or phearable with a basemap and run it like that till it blows. normally, by doing that u give urself a pretty hefty chance of blowing somethign up, whether its ur motor exploding, ur turbo shitting out, ur manifold falling in the street, etc.
its not vague at all, its from person experience. i dont have time to go into the small list of exceptions to the rules, because most of the time, people arent that lucky...

their is no safe psi, its horsepower, 300whp is ag ood stopping point if u have a decent setup... if u have an ebay cast mani, ebay turbo, etc. id stick more to 260 or so... if u have a nice ramhorn, 57 or 60 trim, their should be no problem making 300...
i made 301whp@10psi on an afi ramhorn/t3t04e 60 trim .82 exhasut housing iwth a stock b16...

Down here at forced fed racing, a guy came into the shop with a dc with b16a. Well when he bought this engine he was told it was fully built. So he said it was and tuned him on 21 psi and on e85. He made 450hp and 305tq on the dyno jet. Later on he kept on hot lapping his car and blew his HG so he went home to change it and while hes doing that he looks and the pistons are stock, so he checks out the rod bolts, head studs, rods, cams, valves everything and come to find out the motor is a stock b16! It has all factory parts! Lol So he came back to the shop and put him at 16 psi which is running real good.
Its all in the tune.
Its all in the tune.
