Default Wiring Heated(4wire) O2 sensor

Car: 1990 Civic Hatchback dx, originally auto converted to d16a6 manual, PM6 ECU

I want to install a heated O2 sensor into my car and im not quite sure how to wire it up. I have a 4 wire sensor, wire colors are black, grey, white, white. I figure the white wires are for the heater circuits, black ground and grey signal. I will run the signal to the ecu, ground to ground and I was thinking about running both heaters to some 12v source (I think one of the heater circuits is just a monitor for the sensor and doesn't need to be connected for the heater to work but I figure why not just connect both).

If anyone has any info or knowledge on this please let me know

Thanks

well, you want it hooked up to a 12v source (securely.. solder, shrink wrap, etc) that switches on and off with the car, i could imagine..

Bust out one of the obd1 honda manuals online and look at the schematic on how its hooked up in those cars

I know to hook it up to an 12v source controlled by the ignition switch.

ok.. ummm.. what voltage is the wire from the ecu that its hooked up to? you dont want to over-volt it...

if you arent obd1, then why are you changing it? lol

For a 4 wire O2 sensor, Black is Signal (+), Grey is Signal (-), and the two whites are heater.

Im not sure of the voltage (but im pretty sure its 12v) as I do not have an vehicle that is OBD1 or manual, If anyone knows for sure please let me know.

I am relocating my O2 sensor downstream in the exhaust behind the engine and I want it to get hot fast, plus I am going to convert to OBD1 eventually just not quite yet.

Great! Thank you. That could have been a mistake.

Why would you even do that? just hook it up to D22 just like you know you should.

You replied to 5 threads that have been inactive for over a year and none even talk about the issue that you are working on.
Next time consider starting your own thread - just one post that directly addresses your question.
