Default Oh S#@&

sup guys..well...i feel stupid now.....when i bought my integra...all they gave me was 1 key to the car.....so i went to go get copies of the key..and they made me 2 keys....and when they gave it to me...everything worked out fine...now i can't find my car key..so i'm stuck with the 2 new one...now it takes like 10 minutes until i get it to start..it'll go in the key hole..but won't turn...it can lock/unlock the door..and go in the key hole but takes forever to turn...CAN i go to the acura dealer and like give them my vin number or something..so they can make me a new copy of my key..like an exact copy?

Yes. Go to an acura dealer and have them cut the key by your vin. It should work then.

it happens to me a lot...try turning your steering wheel a little while you turn the key.

if you go to a locksmith store that makes keys they can buff the NEW keys over and over until they get it right. the locksmith will have to go try them out himself on your until he gets it right. A hardware store usually wont do that.

sounds to me like the key wasn't made quite right/wasn't a good duplicate... my old roommate had lost the keys to his accord and was on the final original key set.. so he went to ACE hardware stores and had them make copies of the last original key he had... it had the same problem.. it would go into the locks but you would have to wiggle the key while you turn to get it right until it would turn... we tried it in the parking lot right after the keys were made/cut... so we went back and they tried making about 7 sets of keys and none of them worked right...

they tried cutting new ones.. grinding it on that buffer/brush grinder thing, etc and it still didn't work quite right.. the guy even went out to the car to try it himself (we kept going back in saying it didn't work) and after 7 keys he just said sorry and gave my roommmate his money back...

you can go to the dealer and they can make you a key off of the VIN.. but its going to cost you dealer prices..
