Icon6 Firewall heater inlet nipple smashed but not all the way, help

i think my buddy and i may have smashed it when changing out my motor or putting the new one back in but its kinda smashed up.

i was wondering if there's anyway to fix it so that its back to a cylinder shape? or almost.
also, would it work if i put hi-temp silicone on the metal nipple and put the hose over it?

my car is an 88 crx dx with a gsr if it matters. thanks fellas

I did the same and ended up just replacing the heater core. My only guess here would be to get some needle nose and straighten it out as good as possible, then yeah, use some kind of sealant as well as a nice tight hose clamp.

If the needle nose doesn't work for you then maybe taking a thick screwdriver inside the tube to push the dents out.

I did the same thing the metal is very easy to bend get some pliers and shape it right back to how you want it. I would say sealant isnt even necessary as long as you tighten the hoseclamp right.

Great idea! thanks for the advise. can i just take out the heater core as it sits by just taking off the bolts that mount it? or is there more to it? the heater hoses never went through it well i've owned it FYI.

Hate to say it but the winshield leaks generally need the winsheild removed to fix. This means that you usually need a new winsheild as they usually break when removed. The problem could be simple sealing problem around the winshield or rust on your apillars. Pull some trim out and have a look cross your fingers for no rust... haha For the heater removal you can google and find manuals for your car that help with dis assembly.

is it possible for my to unbend it without taking off my heater core? i have a gsr with the gsr manifold on and the throttle body is in the way and i'm not to comfortable taking that off and putting it back on. but i'll take a second look at it.

also, how can i get rid of all the cluter on the firewall righ there about the heater outlet area. i'll try and get a pic soon
