sohc zc with no spark
Hello my fellow ht members. I went to start up my car yesterday to go to school and take my finals and my car would not start. I tried push starting it and it just would not start. I switch main relays thinking that would fix it and it did not. I am getting fuel cuz I have a small leak from my fuel filter, I can see and smell it so the main relay is working, so is fuel pump. I then checked for spark and lone behold there was none. I went around the corner real quick and bought a cap and rotor because I was getting battery voltage from the coil. That did not solve the problem either. What else can I test on the dizzy to make sure it is a dizzy before I spend the money on a new one. Thank you for your help. Ohh I am still obd0 and using a pm6 ecu
well, its probably the igniter or the coil.. If you check the manual, i believe there is a way to measure resistance between terminals in the dizzy to see which part is broken.. i would bet on one of those 2, as they are kinda known for going out..
with a volt meter. Turn the ignition on and checked the postive and negative and got battery voltage. Can I swap the ignitor out of another ob0 dizzy that has five prongs and not 7

well, but i would think that the sensors that those wires feed to wouldnt funtion right on an MPFI ecu..
in the dizzy, there is a cap, rotor, coil, ignitor, and some sensors... thats why all those wires run in there.. i mean, take it apart, and compare ignitors, but i dont know if it will work... someone in here should, though
