Default Toda Racing Motor

How much power does this motor actually produce. Someone asked me if i knew and I have no idea so now I'm curious. Does anyone have any info on this motor, or at least some educated guess.

Thanks....

Not sure if this helps, but this is a reply I got from then about that engine.

Thanks for your e-mail and interest in TODA Racing. As indicated by the text at the top of our engine page, these engines are only available within Japan to professional race teams. Power output will depend on the specific application (road racing, Gymkhana, etc). Prices are not comparable to street crate engines offered by our competitors as these are race specification engines designed for professional race teams. These engines were not designed for any street use.

If you need more information please let us know.

Damn, that sucks. I hadn't really thought about buying one simply because I would think the amount would be EXTREMELY high, but I was just curious about the power output. Thanks for the help though.

Anybody with money can buy those engines. Depending on the setup you choose the power will range from 230whp to 250whp. Price is $5K~$8K.

$5-$8k sounds kinda cheap. How much $$$$ would it take to make a stock c5 throw down 230 to the wheels???? NA of course.

For $5k I would think it would be worth it, especially since that is about the cost of a stock c5 with tranny, axels, and ecu.

The Feel's B20TC is less than $8 and it's rated at 250hp. Toda does have engines that are only available to certfied dealers and race teams but the one in the pic is for general use to anybody who has the loot. $5k~$8k is the normal price for these setups over here and the $10k~$13k setups use dry sumps and fully balanced innards that are not for street use.

That is the 2.0L engine that was used in the '96-'97 F3 (Formula 3) Championship in Japan and by a few European teams. It makes about 250hp in F3 trim - which is not the full capability of the acutal engine - the motor has a 26mm restrictor for the air intake. Those engines like TODA says are only sold to the race teams and I belive go for over $15K when they were new.

nope... the engine pictured is a street engine. The F3 engine uses a dry sump and the header doesn't go under the oil pan area.

We never get the real JDM sh$t........I am willing to bet that those are some of the best N/A engines you can get for a Honda. Not sure about the other brands? Figure that those engines are built with all the toda goodies and balanced and blue printed!
