seemingly challenging problem. 1990 CRX wont turn over.. please help!
hi there, i dunno how this forum thing works but hopefully someone will help me out. haha, heres the situation...
ive had problems starting before, and at the moment my car is "hydraulicked" as my friend calls it, the head gasket is blown and there is water in the spark plugs. but im not sure thats whats causing this other problem.
heres the tricky part, my battery is good, and ive already replaced the starter after this occured a while back, it worked after replacing it and now it doesnt. whats weird is that when i jump start it(its a stick) as soon as i pop the clutch the car is forced to stop rolling. it almost seems like the flywheel is stuck or something. the gear just locks up. i know in the past i could jump start it in second but not first. im real confused. please advise. thanks.

well, you may have locked up your engine.. lol.. hydrolock can happen..
if you are trying to push-start it, and when you pop the clutch, it stops, id bet money that if you tried to turn it by hand, it wouldnt turn, and you have seized your engine..

Did you suck water into the engine via the intake pipe or is the head gasket just blown?
If you have water in the cylinders there's a good chance it's hydrolocked. If this is the case your going to need to swap out the block or rebuild the one you have.

remove the sparkplugs and then try to crank it. if the motor turns over and water shoots out you have found your problem.

get them plugs out and try to manually crank the engine over by hand to see if she turns over or not...
