Default Kaaz lsd

Ok so i bought a b16 tranny from hmo a couple months back, i did a minor rebuild on it. I have no complaints at all, but as i look up info on the kaaz lsd, i see some people say it ok and not ok for daily drivin, i just want to know what you guys think. Anyone that has had experience with this ... I also drive it a good 600 miles almost every other weekend ... like i said no complaints, and i do get the chatter when i turn but i have learned to drive it lol ... also what kind of fluid to use and how often to change it? and with what kind? I read Motul 90PA is some good stuff, or even syncromesh ... what you guys think?

1,200+ miles a month its not going to last very long.

Torco MTF and add in Torco clutch diff additive until you're comfortable with the noise. The more you add in, the harder it will want to shift.

The helical MFactory is great for daily driving. The clutch types are fine, but they have to be rebuilt, whereas the helical type doesn't.

I put 50k miles on my Kaaz, would have lasted another 30k if I hadn't broke it.

A good launch on slicks with even low NA power can break the tabs off the clutches.

I broke my Kaaz due to the track operator at local dragstrip.

I was running slicks but forced to run in the "street tire" groove, which really isn't a groove. You just have to line up where no one runs. One tire got traction, other was in the marbles.

D16Z6, 7800 rpm launch on a Stage 4 clutch, with 100 shot via ZEX.

Talk about almost hitting the wall, it was quite a show. After that bad night I still drobe the tranny for another year or so as a daily driver without issue.

I've got my Cusco 1-way for daily driving for the wife's EM1 which has been on there for over 2 years. No rebuild needed. I've felt no need to change it at all, and the engagement is fine. Those weren't designed for drag racing which is exactly why I chose it for both my turbo (Cusco 1.5 way for 5 years) and NA cars. These guys are breaking parts because they are using them outside their purpose. I still haven't found a need to rebuild it yet, and its been to plenty of road events.

When I talk to friends about it, I ask.. "are you ever going to drag race it?"... "no", they reply.. "Then you can use a Kaaz or Cusco".

I daily drive my Kaaz LSD, and haven't had any problems with it at all. I used the Kaaz LSD oil it's like $50 for two quarts that's what they recomended. As far as launching it on slicks, itsheld up fine so far on a fewpasses I've made granted my car only makes 197/140 horsepower
