Alternator disconnected but can't remove
I'm not much of a mechanic but thought I could handle this because I've done it on other cars...
Okay, I finally got the belt tension adjuster bolt and through bolts removed (and electrical connections) so the alternator is completely free. But now there is not enough space it seems to remove either going up through the engine or down from the bottom. I have a repair manual that does not say anything about this. Anyone know the easiest way to remove ?

ok, now that sounds easy and will work, but I was worried about brake fluid, etc (draining brake lines), do I need to worry about that ?
thanks, Scott

ok, that sounds like the right approach (removing the bracket)
if I can't get the bolts loose (I had a heck of a time with the tension adjust bolt and the through bolt for the alternator) and I have to remove the master cylinder instead, do I have to worrry about brake fluid running all over or anything like that ?

Not to contradict RonJ cuz he's pretty damn good, but i'v always just taken the brake master bolts off and just pushed it to the side without disconnecting brake lines. comes out like a charm. sorry ron just trying to put in personal experience and quickest way tbh.
No need to apologize. There's always more than one way to skin a cat.
