Default D16Y8 Into 95 Ex

Hey I was planning on swapping a y8 motor into my 95 ex coupe and I was wondering what I would have to do for everything to run correctly. Also could I use the axles and harness from my d16z6 for the swap?

What's the point? Its just going to be a lot of extra work to convert it to OBDI when its an OBDII motor. The d16z6 is just as good, might as well stick with it.

their almost the exact same motor

you wanna swap, get an LS B engine

if not, boost your z6, you'd get more bang for your buck

My z6 is going bad thats why i want to swap the y8. Plus I want to sell the car so I dont want to put a b-series in it if I'm not going to keep.

i dont know much about knocks, some people on here can help you out,

it can be rod knock, in which you can replace the rods, bearings and solve the issue i believe

and depending where the tranny is cracked, you can get a tranny bell housing, clutch housing, or just a new tranny alltogether

but you do wanna swap you can part out your z6 block

^^yeah sounds like too much work cuz he trying to sell it anyway lol. he would have to rip apart the whole motor!

but Jibin the Y8 motor will fall right in. u can use the obd1 alternator and probably swap the Z6 intake manifold and injectors over because the Y8 obd2 ones wont work with your OBD1 harness.
UNLESS u just get an obd2 engine harness and run a jumper harness to your obd1 ECU.

depends how ur going to go about the swap

Well I want to be able to use any parts from what I have on my car currently for the swap, so pretty much the way you said it is how the way I want to go. Also could I use my axles?
