i got a 91 ef and as i got off work to go home i started my car and my starter made a weird noise..so i when i got home i parked my car and wondered what that noise was so i turned my car off and back on and there again the same noise but no i didnt start...so i tried again and nomore cranking or even turning over nothing and as that happened i heard inside my car under my dash a sound like when a fuse goes out so i checked all the fueses under the dash and under the hood there all good..checked my wiring all good too so i changed my starter and still nothing so i kicked start my car in 2nd gear and she started right up but when i turn it off same thing again so i dunno whats the problem and my battery is still good im gonna double check that now and use my brothers real fast just to be sure..

anybody know what the problem could be??

still sounds like a starter problem.

 

yea thats what i thought but i changed the starter so its not...ummm is there a relay for the starter somewhere cuz the fuses are all good

did you even have the other starter tested?? did you check to see if your getting power to the starter terminals? obviously its a problem with the starter circuit/starter ground if itll fire up by popping the clutch.

 

could be alot of things, start with easy things first, battery, battery terminals, starter terminals, voltage on terminals when crank, grounds, check that first and keep us posted so we can help

 

k il check on that tomorrow since im off tomorrow and i found one of my wire..u know the ground wire the small clip piece the connects to the starter yea that one the clip piece from the wire broke so i need to buy another clip piece and attach it to the wire and connect that back on so we will see what happens.. il let u guys know.

 

k i connected back the ground wire and still didnt start so my friend checked under the dash the starter fuse wasnt getting any power so he took a wire cut both ends of it and connected one side to the ignition and the other in the number 2 fuse slot and started right up after that
