Rear brakes worn before fronts?
definatly no power slides, but i do remember stopping a few times with my e-brake cause i wasn't sure where the noise from my brakes were coming from
My rear rotors got heat cracks in them before the fronts but that was due to improper installation by myself of the AEM pads (note to everyone dont get AEM pads for the rear on an ITR). The backing plate wasn't exactly made for the ITR. I had the pad teeter totter in the caliper resulting in uneven pad wear. I barely got 2 track days out of those pads.
Anyhow, your front brakes should go first i would think since all of the stress is on them under hard braking.

Did you install F/R pads at the same time? I think uneven wear might be caused by a sticking caliper. Don't quote me though..

If your car starts pulling while braking, rather than braking in a constant straight motion. Have you taken the pads out and inspected em?

WOOOHOOO!!! ok today i was on a quest to replacfe all the brakes, all new rotors and all new pads front and rear. Let me tell you, how expensive rotors are for the rear of my car $90 each. I wish I could have ordered some nicer brakes from someone but i needed them done ASAP and couldn't wait for delivery. The problem with the rear for the scraping was, the pad was practically all gone and it was diggin into the rotor... no more problems though, no noise, no pull, and definatly feels good. No more high speed braking.
The front pads had like 1/2 left on the pad, but the rear was gone... What do you think could have happend, and how do i make sure it doens't happen again?
Also... the new front rotors came with some black rubbery type stuff on the actual rotor like where you would paint it because it would rust, but the rear didn't. Anyone know what that actually is on there, i don't wanna just use silver paint again, this stuff looks like it's gonna hold on there well.
Well guys, thanks again for all your help HT

My rear brake pads consistantly wear out before my front pads. It is not uncommon.
Just changed my oil and stuff and took a look at the brakes in my car...ohh yea my rears are more worn than my fronts....and i never powerslide or brake unusually....maybe its just the nature of the beast? i dunno..regardless they are all gettin changed soon
