Default has anyone tuned a b16 with bolt on's?

I want to get a hondata s100 and have synapse motorsports my local tuner shop tune the car, im trying to pick a ecu chiped with the s100 for lke 50-100 as im on a budget. Would i be able to pick up any hp on my jdm b16 its the 2nd gen 170hp version, I have a 4-1 header, aem short ram with Vstack along with a 3inch little shorter short ram, 2.25 exhuast, high flow cat, underdrive pulleys. I run 93 octane..

So would i be able to tune hp out of this using 93pump and a hondata s100 i figure ill also need a fpr. I'm just debaiting if i want to spend the money to get everything if i can't pick up a couple hp. I know it should be able to clean it up some.

thanks jay.

i have both honda s100 and crome, i end up stop using s100 and went with crome pro. i like it better, i have about the same stuff, except skunk mani, gsr cam, 68mm tb. and tuning made a different with my motor, and actually my motor like the vtec about 200rpm lower then stock. i always run 93octane, better gas mileage for my car. but u not running some series cr or turbo, so octane level not to important, but its only few dollars more for fill up and i got better gas mileage and car run little smoother. for your setup, u don't need fpr. u motor is stock, don't really need to raise the pressure, plus u can rich up the fuel by tuning anyway. i would go for crome if u gonna go hondata s100. but really crome is cheaper.

dont think the shop id be going to tunes crome, i want to go with some bc3 cams and some sort of supertech valvetrain or kms or omni something cheap and some used aem cam gears, but thats like 600 right there geting good deals + the hondata, then someone to build the head 200-300, and 200 or so on a tune so im looking at 1500 or so for head built + tune and i cant afford that right now so i want to peice it all together over the next year then put it together at once at the shop and have it tuned right there

most of your hondata won't allow hondata dealer to tune crome, from one of the shop owner i talk to, some of the shop will use your equipment to tune it, plus theres a lot of ppl here can tune crome also, just like i said, crome is as good as hondata, is a preference. i seen 600whp tuned by crome, and also by hondata. specially u doing s100 and for me i don't like something i can't control if something goes wrong, where i have to rely a shop to do the work.

so far building the head, send it to machine shop to do port work, but replacing valve spring and tainer and valve seals, is easy, u can do that yourself, that help u cut down the cost.

whats your goal with the motor by the way?
