Re: Hondata s100. Yes or no?
Not many tuners tune s100 systems anymore as they are too lazy to use the s200 hardware to do so or they don't have it etc. Most dealers/tuners will only tune s300 systems now days.
I would suggest talking to whom ever is going to tune the vehicle...
You can compare the s100/s300 systems on http://www.hondata.com/sproducts.html

I run a S100 and love it. Granted I am NA still but LS Vtec with bolt ons S100 chipped P28 made 161whp and runs flawlessly. I will be using the S100 once I get my turbo kit on my stock block. However I will be going to either a S300 V2 or Neptune RTP once I build a block for 400whp, simply for the data log and boost by gear features that the S100 does not have. Hondata still makes and sells the S100 I got mine about 2 years ago and it was tuned by a local tuning shop XactDyno. Many tuners just dont want to use the S100 anymore because they can sell you a S300 or RTP for more money. That and tuning the S300 is much easier than a S100.
Crome sucks but it does work, dont expect flawless drive-ability with it though.

Cool thanks man. It's gonna be a stock b16 on 8psi. Hoping for 220 wheel hp. But just wanna make sure s100 is the route to go. Just don't want to spend 500$ on the s300 lol. When I think that s100 will be fine for what I need it for

It will be fine. And you should get pretty close to my numbers on pures dyno. Granted my setup was alittle different from yours. But i hit 285whp at 10psi on there dyno with the same computer and s100 your gettin from me. S300 is the better choice and is worth it, but this will take care of what you want.
If your a noob to force induction, i dont think crome is rite for you. Listen to what aaron tells you. He knows what hes talking bout. **** hes been tuning for quite some time now.

theres nothing wrong with s100. I had it over 5 years on a stock b16 turbo runs fine. To tune though is to have a serial port which can be hard to find on a laptop

Yep. My tuner still tunes the S100 like I said, some other local tuners wont touch it anymore but raved about it years ago. S100 old yes outdated no not IMO. It is still great for basic NA or turbo setups. If you want more than one map for high boost or race fuel or data logging ect then yes the S100 is a bit outdated. Still better than Crome and a million times better than any piggyback.

Jdm p30 with s100 can still be mapped for a b16a2 correct. In the parameters, the oil pressure switch just needs to be enabled correct
