Default Need help! 250hp on 16 psi?

Ok I didnt want to do this but I'm stumped.I recently bought a Integra that had a ebay turbo kit on it.Car pulled great felt good but the manifold was cracked and the turbo was on its way out.

So i bought a spoolin performance log manifold,New master power 57 trim turbo,Crower 403 cams. This is all that changed from the previous ebay setup.

Went and had the car tuned by one of the best tuners around (Alpha) on Neptune. And the car just would not make any power,Just to get it to 255 it had to be on 16psi???

I drive the car and it drives beautifully but at wot it feels slower than the ebay setup and dies off in 4th gear..

The tuner thinks its the manifold but I hear this is a good manifold and guys have made up to 450 with it...So I dunno what the deal is.

Again heres the run down...

B18a rebuilt to oem specs,Head studs,rodbolts (Compression test = 180 psi across)
Ported head,Crower valvetrain,403 cams
Spoolin performance log mani,Master power 57 trim.
2 1/4 inch dp..(Maby this is the problem??)
2 1/4 inch exhaust.
450 injectors
Warlbro pump..

Anyways any suggestions would be great why such low numbers on 16 psi?

Heres some pics if they would help.

Hard to see but heres the dyno..And it took 30 pulls to get this because of a **** load of boost leaks..Which were all fixed btw.

Pictures dont work, was this open downpipe or complete exhaust system? Alpha knows what he is doing, figure out the problem with your parts and then get it re-tuned.

your downpipe/exhaust is killing power. plus i would get bigger injectors.

This is what I was thinking about the dp..But will injectors affect power like that? Im not trying to be the fastest car around I just want around 280ish.

Yep its pretty low..And yep I asked him about it again he said the manifold..But I just dropped alot of money to get this car done and dont have money to buy another manifold when this one should be fine for the amount of power I want.

Do you still have a cat in the car?? Take off the cat/test pipe/exhaust and try that open downpipe, that will tell you if the exhaust is a big restriction. Also, pressure test it and make sure you don't have any other leaks.

it sounds like it those injectors already at their duty cycle and the exhaust is restricting power also

I'll try the exhaust when I put the car back together..And I'll pressure test it again.

You never answered whether or not the car had full exhaust or just the downpipe while tuning???
If it had full exhaust, you need to check the flex section and if you have a cat, you will need to see if it is plugged up( as in cant see daylight thru it.)

The injectors should have alittle more in them with a walbro 255 and 55psi base pressure. Check your setup thoroughly and then let Alpha know what you found if anything.

Your tuner is wrong about that manifold.

x2. It seems he doesn't know for sure what he's talking about. I made 430 easily on a log manifold just like yours. Could be your timing. How high are your EGTs?

My car had the same problem. car was making 310ish on 12psi. Come to find out my timing belt was off by one tooth on the intake side. After that the car made 408whp on 12psi. if you put cams in it i would defiantly double check cam timing.

those cams are large and def need to be degreed properly with cam gears.

i have a similar set up with a blox cast manifold and made 308/272 on 15psi, i wanted to put cams and my tuner told me that cams and a log style manifold would not work well together, maybe thats your problem...just sayin...goodluck..

Sorry yes it was tuned with full exhaust..But there is no cat just straight back to a can..And I thought the samething about the injectors

I'll check the timing then..Never got it wrong before but I was rushing to get it on the Dyno in time.

I heard the same thing about the manifold from many other people so I stopped looking for a one..BUT he didnt really say the manifold was the problem he just said I would get closer to 280hp with a better one..I dunno..Hes the best around here and have heard nothing but good about his tuning.

Really? Did he give you any reason why? I thought about the cams too but alot of other people have made good numbers with these cams.

I bet it's either your timing and/or cams. What duty cycle are your injectors at?

You dont need cam gears to tune cams...ugh.

Your dp is the problem plain and simple. Need at least a 2.5" mandrel bent to go anywhere. I would just go 3", put a cutout in it if you have a small exhaust.

Get a 3" DP First and fore most. I don't think those cams like the log manifold either. That ebay BOV leaks and I mean ALOT. I did a boost leak test on a setup with that BOV and it was leaking all around where it bolts to the pipe.
The injectors are fine for sub 300whp.

That and possible exhaust leaks. It's not the manifold.

I AGREEE about the downpipe. Run a three inch...maybe even consider open DP and see what power it makes. I would get it street tuned so you dont waste all your money. The manifold seems alright. Your turbo seems big enough, def odd. Does the turbo sound choked?
