Ouch ... Is this repariable?
I purchased this 90 Civic Hatchback.
First is the car from the view where the previous owner apparently hit something hard.

The next picture shows the undercarriage where is some of the damage, this portion concerns me a lot.

Next you'll see, when I ripped out the carpet as to how large the penetration is.

My question is it repairable?!? I realize that this may be a costly thing, but purchased the car for $550 I may just repair if its an option!
Experts, what do you all think?

Well, if you have to much time on your hands check your civic manual, and at the end of body section you will have frame repair chart with all necessary dimension. If it is really bad you may be able to determine that yourself - I am sure you will be glad not to spend a few hundred at the shop only to hear that your frame is shot and from now one you gonna leave three tracks in snow.
In case you cannot find it...

Oh common, can't be that bad... dimensions are given, locations are listed, some of them even described. All he needs is some patience and good faith, well, and a quality tape measure. I would have started with the most obvious things to calibrate myself develop a knack for it...

my integra was like that. both front and back. but, it was lowered. i think someone tried to jack it up on the wrong spots. it never bothered me much. car drove just the same as it would had that not been smashed up in. i looked for a pic, i can't find one. but anyway, i'd take it to a frame shop, and have them look at it.
I second this and clean out the dang car. Nasty. I would also consider welding up a brace on that. And then go to your local home improvement store and purchase a shop vac, then use it.
yes it is. the body shop next to mine saw my damage pretty much the same on mine also by previous owner and he said he would pull it down and fill it if needed
so yes, repairable
so yes, repairable
my drivers side floor pan was like that from one of the idiot previous owners smashing through the gresham deq lot and smashing over a speed bump while the car was slammed. i took a mallet to the floor board, pretty strait now
